About

Hailing from Tampa Bay and producing art for over 20 years, Case Max is somebody who really likes to draw. Then drench those drawings with pen and ink renderings. Coloring work with Sharpies, Prisma Color markers, shading in Photoshop, vector shapes in Illustrator, and so much more. Color is the flesh while pen and ink is always the skeleton. Since a very young child, the key interest has always been drawing monsters, skulls, and all types of spooky things. During early teenage years the vast amount of inspiration came from living the Heavy Metal and Punk scene while obsessively watching and collecting Horror films. In between that time period and the present: Case Max wrote graffiti for 8 years, graduated from Erwin Tech’s Drafting/ Architecture program, and lives off freelance Graphic Design work. Current career highlights include producing T-shirt designs, creating hardcore band logos, and of course exhibiting pieces in various art shows. In conclusion Case Max states: “I try to mix things up and create something that no one’s ever seen before. While in conjunction; expressing my dark interests with complete sincerity. My work is influenced by the late 1800’s Art Nouveau movement, Danzig’s Verotik Comics, Thrash Metal & Death Metal T-shirts, 80’s Horror films, and the Punk D.I.Y. movement. Artists that inspire me include: Alphonse Mucha, Go Nagai, Tim Vigil, Simon Bisley, Takeshi Obata, Mad Marc Rude, Steven Hughes, and of course Pushead. I really enjoy making things. Thank you for your interest and reading this far.”
